This one’s for The Naughty Librarian®.

On Tuesday, May 31st at 8pm CST, My Morning Jacket will partake in a live webcast from the Louisville Palace Theatre as part of the festivities for their upcoming release, Circuital.  Not too shabby, right?  It gets better.  The webcast will feature appearances by Erykah Badu and Rachel Dratch (that’s right, Debbie-effing-Downer herself).

My Morning Jacket hit the Auditorium Theatre June 17 and you betcha I’ll be there ready to turn the hose on TNL.

And to those of thinking, “But Bee, Erykah Badu and MMJ?” then please allow the video below to tell you all you need to know.

It has been reported (everywhere) that Wilco are hunkered down in their Lakeview loft recording a new album but that hasn’t stopped Jeff Tweedy from taking time out for a mini solo acoustic tour of sorts where he has been unveiling a bunch of new songs like the gorgeous and romantic “Open Your Mind” which he recently debuted in Canada.  I’ll be curious to see if these new songs end up on the Wilco album.  I’m writing this because I realized that Tweedy stops by The Vic this weekend for two benefit shows.  You can expect to see yours truly and The Naughty Librarian® swooning out of control. (I’ll be the fool that can’t put her camera away – so don’t bump me or get in my way!)

It’s the last weekend of February and we’re still here! We made it through some serious THUNDERSNOW, a snowpacalypse, a mayoral race and no one called the cops on you when you slashed your neighbor’s car tire after he took the spot you spent hours digging out! In short, it has been real. Let’s send February off right, here are some suggestions for weekend fun.

There are a couple of great shows for you to choose from tonight:

* Flabby Hoffman Presents: Soul Pollution at The Abbey Pub with special guests, Killmedia, Deep Space Pilots, The Flabby Hoffman Trio, Arlum and The Plastic Boots; 8pm, 21+, $8.00 advance / $10.00 at door

Saturday: I’ll be at the sold-out Smith Westerns show at the Empty Bottle but if you didn’t get a ticket head over to Subterranean where our friends Houses will be on the bill with Baths and Braids, 17+, 9:30p, $10.

Its almost the weekend kids, a few bits and pieces to keep you busy while you pretend to work.
