This week finds us at Tiger O’Stylies on Ogden Avenue in beautiful Berwyn, Illinois!

A cool spring night found us at our home for the next few weeks, Tiger’s in Berwyn.  We had two very talented Latin-oh rock bands and a third who brought the pain (in that oh so good way) to good ‘ol Berwyn.  Your local music scene needs love and support so I expect to see you ho’s out there next week!!  

First up: Codigo.  Horacio (guitar/vocals), Manny (bass) and Angel (drums) brought a breezy sound reminiscent of Los Amigos Invisibles with Mujeres and debuted a song that’s so brand new it doesn’t even have a name yet!  They’re a new band just getting started so there’s no webpage to send you to but hopefully they’ll get it up and running soon and we’ll keep you posted of any upcoming gigs because they were nice to yours truly and that’s basically the way to get yourself some free publicity, I’m easy – I know.  Next was 3:23.  Listen up kids and check them out RIGHT NOW because this is what a rock band should/does sound like.  Raul (vocals), Osvaldo (guitar), Marcos (bass ed. note: he was a Cristiano Ronaldo look-alike in those glasses), Daniel (guitar) and Lalo (drums) brought down the house with Dime, Para Que No Me Olvides and El Rincon.  Dime is a hard pulser that I have had stuck in my head since yesterday. Ear worm, anyone?  They’ll be at Congress this Sunday with El Tri so ch-ch-ch-check ‘em out.  And to close out the show we had Tomorrow Never Knows (TNK for all you cool kids out there).  Think NIN meets Rage Against the Machine except in an adorable fluffy little package make up of Carlos (vocals), Peter (guitar), Lunchbox (bass) and the never lazy Wilson (drums).  The rager started with Boxes, then Vista and ended with the newish The Rap One.  Their next show is at the Atlantic Room on Lincoln Ave this Friday, go out and tell them MeanLittleBumbleBee wrote very nice things about them and didn’t write about that thing that happened – they know the thing.
