Ear Worms: the one song I have stuck in my head and won’t escape. Oh Alex P. Keaton, your poor heart was so broken. Today’s worm:

  1. I first heard this song in the mid-eighties. Up to this time I would occasionally hear it on the radio. I always loved it and wanted to know the title and the artist. They would never say who it was. For that matter they would never mention the title. A few days ago a musician friend of mind called from Florida. He mentioned it and wanted to add it to his repertoire. I told him I never heard “At This Moment” or Billy Vera. He began to hum the tune over the phone (I live in Texas). Right then and there the light bulb went on. I had found my man! I’ve been listening to the song every time I get on the computer.

The song has lost its mystery for me but what remains mysterious is why Billy Vera never continued to display his talent. He’s got great pipes man. I love Boz Scaggs, a fellow Texan who is very soulful and talented who “made it”. But this cat, Billy Vera, has got it. Great voice! Wish to hear you live one of these days!
